Over the weekend, my company pushed out an update to RStudio version 2023.09.01 and launching RStudio now results in this error on launch.
We've rolled back to version 2023.06.2 - 561 and it is working.
Is there something wrong with the new installer process?
I also got the same behavior with a fresh install of RStudio. Can confirm that rolling back to version 2023.06.2 - 561 fixed the issue.
Edit: should note we’re on Windows 10 22H2.
RStudio version 2023.09.1+494 released on 10/17/23 resolves this issue.
I now get a new java error with the release that fixed the previous java error problem.
If I direct install to C rather than Program files, the earlier javascript error above (not finding modules) returns.
