RStudio crashing when navigating through file explorer (system error 10053)

Crash Information:

Description of crash -

When clicking on folder and file links in the File Explorer, the RStudio session will abort. Sometimes this happens after only clicking on one folder/file link, other times it takes navigating through several subdirectories. In an attempt to solve the issue, both R and RStudio were uninstalled and reinstalled, the 32-bit installation was selected over the 64-bit, the rendering was changed to software, and both R and RStudio were made exempt from the firewall - none of these changes worked. The global environment is clear. The global options are such that the workspace is not saved or restored on startup. The main error that pops up in the log file is: "ERROR system error 10053 (An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine) [request-uri: /help/library/colorspace/html/00Index.html]"

Open RStudio, and begin clicking through directory links in the Files tab.

Same issue. Also do not have OneDrive running.
It seems more likely to happen when I am clicking through files very quickly.

More or less the same here, although crashes also occur seemingly at random, making rstudio completely unusable. I've been using it only on my Linux VM for weeks now.

OneDrive is installed on the computer but I do not believe it was running in the background.

I have similar problem. RStudio crashed repeatedly when trying to browse for another file using the file explorer.

I have the same error code (10053). But I noticed that you @nataliegnelson also have error code 32 which involving pagefile.sys. I don't know if it's relevant, but did you happen to also have a problem with Windows' temporary pagefile? Because I currently have this problem with temporary pagefile everytime my Windows logged in. Is there any chance that it cause the error?

I was using Google Drive to sync my R scripts and got the same problem, no matter whether I pause the file sync or not.

Workaround for now is to just use the hotkey Ctrl+O and open files that way. Not as efficient, which is annoying as heck. Hopefully this gets resolved soon as my workflow has taken a hit.
