R studio freezes/graphic fits windows 11 dell xps

Hello,

I've got a new laptop about 3 months ago (dell xps with windows 11) and since the beginning I had the issue that rstudio freezes to a point where I have to shut it down and restart. It only happens if I shut my laptop for longer than a few hours. When I open it again, sometimes there are black stripes across rstudio, sometimes not, and nothing is working but the menu at the top. I can't click or run anything. Because of the black stripes I wonder if it's something to do with the graphics? Does anyone have or had similar issues and can help me to fix it?

Hi, welcome!

Have you tried changing to software rendering?, you can change it by holding the Ctrl key while opening RStudio, then you should see this menu and change the "Rendering Engine" to "Software".
