File watching disabled due to missing inodes?

I get the following warning message:

File monitoring failed for project at "~/Documents/..."
Error 28 (inotify_add_watch: No watches available)
A Features disabled: R source file indexing, Diagnostics

I have plenty of inodes (used the script referenced here: RStudio file monitoring failure, and df -i).

Any idea what to do?
