Every time I try to save or open a project RStudio closes with no warning or message

Crash Information:

Description of crash -
I am brand new to RStudio, I used it for the first time a few days ago. However, every time I try to save or open a project the program closes with no warning or message.
Steps to reproduce -

I'm having the same problem (I just posted here RStudio v1.2.1335 crashes on File>Open or File>Save (Windows 7 Pro)). My previous RStudio version is fine, it's only the upgrade that's causing this for me ...

The other main thing I'd suggest trying is resetting your RStudio state: https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/200534577-Resetting-RStudio-Desktop-s-State

Could you try supplying us with a diagnostics report? Perhaps we'll get more information as to what's going on here.

The other thing you might try: hold Ctrl while RStudio launches. You should get a dialog allowing you to select different versions of R installed on your machine. If you select a different version of R, do you have any better luck?
