Any future plans for learnr tutorials? Move to Quarto documents? Connection to Positron?

In March 2023, I asked about future plans with regard to learnr tutorials, especially in regard to the move away from R markdown and to Quarto. Thanks to @grrrck for useful feedback.

Are there further updates? The rise of Positron might also be relevant in this context.

I center my teaching around learnr tutorials. See the CRAN package r4ds.tutorials for example. So, I want to better understand where we might be headed with this technology.
