Abstract
Between 1900 and 1950, the Olympics saw a turning point in the development of female athletes. The significant increase in female participation was a result of a confluence of relaxed age restriction, increased female events and national supports. Demonstrating how fewer obstacles to entry and more opportunities empowered women on the international scene, this journey emphasizes themes of equality—both in terms of gender and national representation
