windows 11 hanging with R 4.3.2 and Rstudio

Hi, Windows 11 hangs when I open Rstudio
Tried different install versions.
no problem when working in R alone without Rstudio
please please help, am at my wits end, I need this to work

Rstudio version Version: 2023.09.1+494
WIndows 11, 8GB RAM NTFS file system
HP 12th Gen Intel i5-1235U 1.30GHz
