I have some binomial data on the prevalence of a virus in rodents. I want to test if these data significantly differ between categories of 4 different variables (table added). These variables are: rodent genus (first colomn, 8 categories), location of capture of the rodent (row 1, 6 categories), habitat type of capture (row 2, 5 categories) and distance to the village (row 3, 3 categories). Someone suggeted me to just all test the variables separately, but I think that in this way I maybe ignore important interactions. The problem is I don't have every combination and I am in doubt if some variables may be nested within others. For example the 'habitat type' looks nested in 'distance to the village', with the exception of 1 habitat type where I have results for 2 different distances. But is this enough to be able to include the interaction? Can I even calculate interactions? which variables are nested?
