We already have a naming convention in R community?

Hello everyone,

I was reading the article by Rasmus Bååth in The R Journal, entitled "The State of Naming Conventions in R", which you can check here: The State of Naming Conve... The R Journal; and the author have talked about the need for consistency when naming variables, functions, and arguments when coding in R. He had concluded (a decade ago) that there is no one convention in R community as there is in Python, MATLAB, and others. At least, it was what I got reading the paper.

I wish to know if Rasmus Bååth's conclusion is still valid.
