Hi, Very nice visual and study but your abstract is horribly wrong.
You state" In north America alone there are 1.3 million deaths a year",
2.8 million people died in the US in 2017
Something is wrong.
1.3 million deaths per year would exceed the number of people dying of heart attacks in the US, by a factor of four and would account for almost half of all deaths - not very likely
@JamesFerguson thank you for putting effort in understanding the concept and pointing out the flaws in the abstract. my team and myself has began reworking on re assuring the analysis on the death caused by snake bites in north america. even we had made few changes to the abstract based on your input
