Using keyring in Posit Connect

I am able to successfully use and set up "keyring" in Workbench.

I am also able to set up and use a "keyring" in Connect when I create and use that keyring in the same RMarkdown document.

However, I do not seem to be able to create a keyring in one RMarkdown documet that I publish to Connect, and then access it in Connect in another RMarkdown document.

What am I doing wrong?

There are some limitations with rendered documents, described at: Posit Connect Documentation Version 2024.02.0 - Process Management

Specifically:

A distinct output directory is used each time the content is rendered. Data created during one rendering is not visible to another.
