using base / assignment project for class

I created a base project for my class and changed it to an assignment. The students then created their own projects from the link I sent out. They aren't seeing any new datasets I add to the base project however.

Is this because they changed the name from Class XXX/base to Class XXX/student's last name for their individual projects?

When someone creates new project from an assignment, only the data in the base project at that time is copied over. If new datasets are added afterwards, those are not propagated out to the children. Does that explain what you are seeing?
