There is code-server v4.4.0 and Code 1.66.2
Is it possible to upgrade VS Code, or does the entire Posit Workbench installation need to be upgraded?
Workbench has only been tested with the version of code-server that it ships with; newer versions sometimes contain breaking changes (to e.g. file layouts on disk, startup options, etc.) that prevent them from working correctly in Workbench. It is technically possible to swap out code-server, but not supported or recommended.
