Unable to find an installation of R on the system

Hello,
I tried installing RStudio Server, following this documentation: Download RStudio Server for Red Hat/CentOS - RStudio , but when trying to start the service I get this error
ERROR Could not find an installation of R on the system (which R did not return a valid output); Could not locate the R binary by scanning the standard locations
-bash-4.2$ which R
/usr/bin/R
-bash-4.2$ R --version
R version 3.6.0 (2019-04-26) -- "Planting of a Tree"

Platform: x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu (64-bit)
