Unable to dispatch task for application (NEW)

Unable to restart or archive an application due to a "transient error."

"Please try again in a bit. If this error persists please contact support."

i might having the same issue
apps are not running. just a "please wait" and nothing on the dashboard

Well, it was working ... briefly. I tried to restart an archived app, and it got to the point of pushing the app and froze. If I try the restart again, it tells me there's a task already in progress and that it is most likely a transient error. So this does need attention from someone at Posit.

i restarted some applications and re deploying the one with the task problem
(deleted the rsconnect folder before re deploying)
and that seems to work

I just restarted my archived app (without any changes/tweaks on my part). The previous "task in progress" was gone and the restart was successful, so whatever was glitching before seems to be fixed.

The issue seems to have resolved after some time confirming its "transient" nature. Uncertain whether any other workaround or solution was at play.
