The download link on Posit website for RStudio doesn't work.

My students and I are trying to update to the latest version of RStudio, but we get the following XML page when clicking on the download for the Windows installer:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

<Error>

<Code>NoSuchKey</Code>

<Message>The specified key does not exist.</Message>

<Key>electron/windows/RStudio-2026.10.0-dev.exe</Key>

<RequestId>TXMKZQ0NP2VTZT5T</RequestId>

<HostId>zTWoWAqml8Y8YeweSfWjdjX6JKPGdOShEQMNpy2Y8q/U1b08Rf5CMmuRkazydnY6l1QyAt2ORWc=</HostId>

</Error>

When right-clicking and trying to use "save link as" we get the error "The server could not find the file".

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a hiccup on the download page? I'm trying to access from Belgium, Ghent University network.

kind regards

Joris

Use this link: https://download1.rstudio.org/electron/macos/RStudio-2026.10.0-233.dmg

for some reason the current link ends with "-dev.dmg" instead of "-233.dmg".

Or https://download1.rstudio.org/electron/macos/RStudio-2026.10.0-233.exe since you are using Windows

Sorry it should be electron/windows/RStudio-2026.10.0-233.exe

Same here. Please guys, check it out the links. Thanks @nste077 for your solution.

Same here for linux distributions

Thanks all, we're looking into it!

@jorismeys @nste077 @allyssonallan @invcr hi all, could you please try now? Thanks for letting us know!

Still the same for me:

Hi @invcr! Sorry for the trouble here. Could you share exactly which page you're finding these bad links on and I'll make sure to get them cleaned up?

You can find the correct links on The RStudio Download Page. Specifically, the 2 correct URLs you're looking for are

https://download1.rstudio.org/electron/rhel9/x86_64/rstudio-2026.10.0-233-x86_64.rpm

and

https://download1.rstudio.org/electron/jammy/amd64/rstudio-2026.10.0-233-amd64.deb

@cmann it was on the download page, all working now, thank you!
