Subdividing a character vector

Hi,

I have a character vector of size 228 . I would like to subdivide it in 19 vectors of size 12 . I know this has to be easy, but I'm having a hard time finding the way of doing it. Any help, or advise regarding an Rpackage will be really appreciated.

I solved it using split function
