"Status 405 code" error in R Studio server

For the last week or so my student and I have both been having intermittent issues with a "Status 405 code returned by RStudio server when..." we start up R. The messages vary such as "executing unsatisfied_dependencies", "executing list files", but I can find no trace of what this issue could be.
