I know RStudio tracks downloads from their CRAN mirror, and makes the logs available. I've seen @drob's blog post and shiny app for tracking popularity of a package over time. Does anyone have an analogous app for most popular packages per month/year? I don't want to duplicate effort.
... Another 5 minutes of googling led me to the rdocumentation trends page. I know I've been to this page before, but they need to work on their SEO! I found it by googling "most popular R packages", clicking on a Revolution analytics blog post, following a link to a DataCamp blog post and finally getting to rdocumentation. Looks like it's a DataCamp effort, anyone know who maintains this?
