After a certain RStudio Version, the behaviour of the "Start-Window" changed (when starting RStudio this Windows covers the background and sometimes it freezes, when you change the focus during RStudio Start). See one example here:
I can not see any benefit why this behaviour was introduced to start this Window as a separate instance. It would be great if the developer rething this behaviour. Thank you.
The next release of RStudio has an option to disable this splash screen (so it doesn’t appear when starting up.) This is tentatively scheduled for release in August.
