Signed out due to inactivity - R Studio server open source version

Hi!

I just installed R Studio Server open source version 1.3.1093 and realized that in this newer version of the R Studio Server, you get signed out after inactivity which i find quite annoying. I read that you can change a variable in the rserver.conf-file (auth-timeout-minutes=0) to fix this but this only goes for the Pro version as i understand it.

Is there anything i can change in my open source version to change this or is this a pro feature only?

Hi Kim,

You can set the following in /etc/rstudio/rserver.conf. This is documented somewhere, though I forget where exactly at the moment.

# Auth limit of 10 hours (default is 1)
auth-timeout-minutes=600
