It would be very useful to have a shortcut such as Ctrl+I and Ctrl+B in most text editors to italicise and bold text, especially for people writing articles that are a little more humanities oriented.
Is there any way to add a personalised new shortcut in RStudio? Or maybe would this be something you could add in the next updates?

thanks, that would probably work too, but i also just found out that essentially these two shortcuts already exist, they are simply Shift+* for bold and Shift+_ for italics, for anyone interested in it in the future. just wonder why are they not in the keyboard shortcuts section in Rstudio! thanks anyway
