shiny::h1() shows up in Rmarkdown table of contents when toc_float: true

I'm writing an Rmarkdown file with runtime: shiny, essentially writing a handbook for a certain Shiny app.

I've come across a discrepency whereas the normal table of contents shows (rightly in my opinion) only the actual headings of the Rmarkdown file.

However, when I set toc_float: true in the YAML header things from the code chunks start showing up in the table of contents.

I figure this might be an issue that needs to be filed on Github, but figured I'd post here first to check if this is a misunderstanding on my part that can be fixed with some additional statement in the YAML header.
