setting up data for landscapemetrics

Hi,
I need help setting up my data sets for landscape metrics package. I converted my polygon data to rasters (did this in ArcGIS pro) but I can't seem to read them into R. How should the attribute table be set up? Any tips?

This is the line to read in the data
sthflt17 <- raster("C:/2022/sem2/Southernflats17.tif")
