RStudio preview 1.2.679-1 on MacOS run chunks issue

In Rmarkdown files the options "Run all chunks above" & "Run all chunks below" do not work on RStudio preview 1.2.679-1 on MacOS, but "Run all chunks" work.

Steps to replicate the issue. What happens when you do click these chuck run buttons?
Any recent changes?

  • RStudio Edition: Desktop
  • RStudio Version: Preview release v1.2.679-1
  • OS Version: MacOS 10.12.5
  • R Version: 3.5.0

Here is the output from sessionInfo()

R version 3.5.0 (2018-04-23)

Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin15.6.0 (64-bit)

Running under: macOS Sierra 10.12.5

The issue is still present in preview release v1.2.747-3 for MacOS.

This issue has been fixed in the latest daily builds, but unfortunately the fix didn't make its way into the latest preview release. If you'd like to test / confirm, the daily builds are available from https://dailies.rstudio.com.

Yes the issue is now fixed in RStudio ver. 1.2.789, albeit I had to run RStudio three times before the app becomes responsive...
