RStudio not performing well

I've been using RStudio for months. Recently I installed Windows on my Mac to run ArcGIS Pro and I've been experiencing the following:

  1. After removing datasets, closing and saving RStudio, then reopening RStudio, the removed datasets return;
  2. Saved Rscripts which are open during a session are not available when I reopen RStudio and I saved everything when I closed RStudio;
  3. Occasionally, Rplots do not appear in the plot pane. I have loaded the ggplot2 package so that's not the problem.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled RStudio but the problem persists. Any idea what may be happening?

I have 8GB of ram on my MacBook Pro. Could it be a memory issue?
