Rstudio mostly frozen on startup - POP OS (based on ubuntu) 22.04

Error Information:

Description of issue -
I start R-studio by selecting the icon. It opens, but I cannot activate or type in any window. The pull down menus work, but nothing happens when an item there is selected. All window resizing and shutting buttons do not work. Quit doesn't work - I can only shut down by killing the process.

R works in command line.

Attempted steps taken to fix -
I reinstalled Rstudio. No impact.

I have it working on the same set-up, except I'm not 4.2, but it was working on 4.1.2. Try downversioning to 554
