RStudio keeps aborting session

I have used RStudio for about 8 years now and I have never encountered this many aborted sessions. I did recently switch to a new machine (Apple M2 Pro) but have never experienced this. I will clear the environment and run just the packages chunk of my code and receive the "R Session Aborted. R encountered a fatal error. The session was terminated. error every single time. I have restarted the R session, quit and reopened RStudio, downloaded the most recent version, reverted back to the previous version, and cleared all R memory but it keeps happening.
