Rstudio IDE shows tibbles as question marks in boxes?

I am not sure exactly what I did or which information would be useful, but for some reason, whenever I preview a tibble in RStudio it shows me a bunch of question marks like in the minimum example below:

I had trouble finding other people who experienced this issue. Does anyone have advice?

edit: I updated my version of RStudio to 2025.9.2.418 and still no luck.
