Rstudio IDE does not start - GPU process isn't usable

Hi all,
I cannot start Rstudio 2023.06.1+524 IDE on my 64-bit Win 8.1 Pro. Running Rstudio.exe from command line gives me this hint:

[4360:0627/083728.049:ERROR:gpu_process_host.cc(947)] GPU process launch failed: error_code=17]
...
[4360:0627/083728.206:FATAL:gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc(440)] GPU process isn't usable. Goodbye.

This could be probably related to the new rendering engine as discusssed here:

Anyway when I modiffied %APPDATA%\Roaming\RStudio\desktop.ini (I added desktop.renderingEngine=software in the [General] section), it did not help.

Any tips for sollution?
