RStudio freezes when using CTRL+SHIFT+F10 to restart session after pushing commits using GIT

I am facing an annoying situation using RStudio IDE, I think it is a bug.

Context: a project (Rproj) and using GIT+GITLAB as version control.

Problem: whenever I push one or more commits (even very small ones) from the Rstudio IDE, and latter, restart the R session, the process freezes. Please see the the screenshot below.
