Hi everyone,
I’ve been running into an issue where RStudio freezes or becomes really slow whenever I try to open a large .R script usually anything over a few thousand lines. It just hangs for a while, and sometimes I have to force-close the program.
I’ve checked my system resources and nothing seems maxed out. Smaller files work perfectly fine. I’m using the latest version of RStudio on Windows 11 with plenty of RAM, so I’m not sure what’s causing it.
Are there any settings I can tweak to improve performance when handling big scripts?
