This is a small thing but would be convenient for me to fix. When I double click an rmd file, it asks which program I want to use, I select RStudio and check the default app box. However, the file type is still not associated with the program. I go through default file associations in Windows settings, find .rmd, select RStudio and nothing happens. No matter what I tried, RStudio isn't being associated with .rmd nor . R files. Is there an environment variable that I need to add?
I'm on a fresh install of Windows 10 and before I reinstalled, this was working.
