RStudio failing to open on Mac

Hi all,

I have downloaded RStudio and R on my macbook. When trying to open RStudio, I am met with the error: 'Rstudio cannot be opened because of a problem'. It has no further information than this.

If anyone has experienced a similar issue and/or can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @mattgoldreich,

This a hard issue to help with since the reason could be anything from an issue with your specific machine, to the way you installed them, to an issue with RStudio and R themselves, although the last is highly unlikely.

I would recommend restarting your machine, and if the issue persists, remove RStudio, then reinstall RStudio and R using the instructions from Chapter 1 Getting Started with Data in R | Statistical Inference via Data Science.
