RStudio Connect downtime and error code 137

I am getting error message "The application failed to start (exited with code 137)." for all applications on Rstudio Connect. How can we resolve this?

Ultimately, you will probably want to include:

  • the full content log file for these applications
  • the RStudio Connect version you are running
  • the /etc/rstudio-connect/rstudio-connect.gcfg file (your server configuration)
  • any other information about your architecture / operating system / etc.

We have a diagnostic bundle that contains all of this information:

sudo /opt/rstudio-connect/scripts/run-diagnostics.sh /path/to/output/directory
