RStudio can't load package `base`

I've been trying to work with github actions and renv, and it looks like something went wrong & RStudio is giving me this error:

I've opened an issue on renv's github, but I think the error is that RStudio is no longer referencing the correct library folder (path-to-R/R-4.1.0/library). Does anyone know how to make sure RStudio is referencing the right folder (short of uninstalling/reinstalling RStudio)?

Update - I ended up just uninstalling/reinstalling both R/RStudio. Seems to be working now, but if anyone has any insight as to what may have gone wrong, please check out the open issue on github
