The OS selector in P3M (Posit Package Manager ) doesn't show an option for Rocky 8. I believe rocky 8 does have binaries for some packages, hosted under https://packagemanager.posit.co/cran/__linux__/centos8/ [sic], but it doesn't show up in the web UI.
I don't know why we have it like this, but you can choose "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8" to get the exact same setup that you would get if "Rocky Linux 8" was chosen. We don't do anything different between the RHEL and Rocky Linux options given they are binary compatible.
