RMarkdown Knit to html causing RStudio to freeze and then crash for all documents, even default ones

I'm a new user of RStudio, I installed it for a school course so sorry if this is a bad question.
So pretty much I tried out the knit to html after creating a new R markdown file with html output format
The default document is generated, and I try to knit it, and the pop-up screen freezes and hangs indefinitely.
The knitting does work, because it generates an html file using Markdown but the pop-up just hangs.
And I can confirm this because the output shows 100% completion.

I am running Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19041
I am using R 4.0.3
I am using RStudio Version 1.4.1103
I am using Rtools Version 4.0.0.28

Does it stop at the red text saying the practice.knit.mdfile is ready ?

If so then there is something at the Pandoc conversion step. there could be something taking very long in the document to convert. It could happen depending on what you have in the document.
Is the Rmd something you can share ?
