Rgal not installing

Hi everyone,

Please can someone direct me in resolving this issue. I tried to install the package rgdal but I received the message below that it wont install on my computer.

install.packages (rgdal)
Error in install.packages : object 'rgdal' not found

I am using a 32 bit system with windows 7 Ultimate operating system.

Kindly provide a way out of this issue.

You have to put it in quotes

install.packages("rgdal")

I observed that my version of R is not updated to the current version of rgdal hence the issue. I have already addressed the issue and it is working very fine.
