retrieving preview data

Hey,
I'm new to R and i'm having trouble trying to load data from stata, when i try to load new data it gets stuck in "retrieving preview data", i don't have any idea why this keeps happening, i've already restarted it a few times.
R version: 4.2.1 (Funny-Looking Kid)
