Currently the installation of RStudio on windows (10/11) requires admin rigths. R base, VSCode, python, anaconda and such offer the possibility of installation without admin rights.
It would be great if posit would offer this possibility as well. This would provide more flexibility to users to choose and maintain the data science software they would like to work with in an envyronment where they don't have admin rights.
Feature request are better suited for the GitHub repository
This should only be true for the installer version. Go to the download page:
and scroll down to Zip/Tarballs. Download the .zip version for Windows and unpack it into a folder of your choice -- you can run it from there, no admin rights required!
