I recently installed RStudio on Ubuntu via the .deb package.
I'm thinking I'm going to give it a try but I'm pretty sure I won't be keeping it. My question is if I remove the .deb package will it remove all of the tremendous amount of (stuff, for want of a better work) that got installed as part of the package?
I really don't want to leave all of that laying around if I do decide to remove it.
No, removing the .deb
itself won't remove everything. Run this instead:
$ sudo apt remove rstudio
Actually that's what I meant when I said "remove the .deb file"
I did the remove and it still left a bunch of crap but I've managed to get rid of the rest of it without to much trouble
