Has anyone noticed that readhtml from RVEST runs extremely slow in MacOS sonoma? The same script that takes 20 minutes to run in Big Sur on my 2012 MacPro now takes 90 minutes to run on my 2019 Mac Pro (supposedly, a more powerful machine)
Further notes. Booting into Sonoma on a 2019 Mac Pro (3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W with 96GB of memory, probably the 2024 versions of and R Studio, with the OS on the 2 TB of flash storage and a HD working drive) , it takes about 90 minutes to execute the R script. Using the same machine but running Big Sur (2023 version of Rstudio - 2024 R) from a HD connected to the internal USB port, it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to execute the script which is what it took on an upgraded 2012 Mac Pro.
Any suggestions?
