Rcmdr installation error

Installation of Rcmdr fails with the following error:

Error: 14:5: unexpected symbol
14: set a
^
I'm running RStudio newest version, R 3.5.1, on Windows 10.

A similar error on other package updates, but most work just fine.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Addendum: This error went away when I uninstalled R, cleaned out the c:\Program Files\R directory, and reinstalled R. Either my original download was corrupted or there was something left over in my R directory that corrupted things.

As mentioned in this thread, I think Rcmdr is for the R Commander GUI:

I believe that Rcmdr and RcmdrMisc are specifically intended for use in the R Commander GUI. Rcmdr: R Commander A platform-independent basic-statistics GUI (graphical user interface) for R, based on the tcltk package. RcmdrMisc: R Commander Miscellaneous Functions Various statistical, graphics, and data-management functions used by the Rcmdr package in the R Commander GUI for R.
