Hi Aaron,
I've had the same issue for over two weeks. Very frustrating and no answers so far.
The only thing that has worked for me is to uninstall the current version and revert to the old version 1.1.463 from 2018. This works apart from the updated graphics engine now used by R, but this old version lacks some of the functionality in the newer versions. If you find any better solution, please post it here!

Hi, I've had the same problem. When you use the old version 1.1.463 from 2018, what about R, we have to download another version of R, right? If it's true, please help me to download it. I have you'll reply soon because I really need this app for my lecture at the university. Thanks a lot!

Hi Jinnie,
I was still able to use the most current R version (4.1.1). There's a minor issue with the updated graphics engine in newer versions of R that the old version of RStudio cannot handle, but just save your plots and view them externally.
