R Studio not opening and unusual demands for access

When I try starting R studio I get a bunch of requests for access to my files and then R Studio does not really open, the screen just stays white or has an "Initializing" message.

I installed the package "renv" today for scanpy and installed Python on my device.

System Information:

  • RStudio Edition: Desktop
  • RStudio Version: 2023.12.1+402
  • OS Version: Sonoma - 14.4
  • R Version: R 4.3.2 GUI 1.80 Big Sur ARM build
  • Output your diagnostics report (if possible): NA
