R Studio Error on Installation

Hi,

I'm trying to download R Studio for uni onto my mac, and have had no luck :frowning: Does anyone have an idea on what i've done wrong ? i've tried the troubleshooting and still had no luck..

I have successfully downloaded R, but R Studio keeps spitting back with the following error:

Does R run correctly from a command prompt?

Yeah, it runs fine through command prompt

You might try resetting RStudio's state. If that doesn't work, try starting RStudio from a command prompt and see if there is a more informative error message there.

Thank you @prubin for your help, i ended up going through the command prompt , Rstudio worked when it ran as administrator and it ended up being some issues with permissions but all fixed now thankfully!
