R studio Error code

I keep getting error code

error: Unable to establish connection to R session

I am using latest R studio and R on Windows 10. I have closed sessions. uninstalled both. re-installed R ran a script in R and then reinstalled R studio. But still getting same error code repeatedly. any other ideas? Thank you
