R studio console not allowing me to import any file from my laptop. i can just import files from within rstudio files.kindly help.

Are you using Posit Cloud? If so, you need to upload the file from your laptop to the cloud before you can import it to R. There is an Upload tab in the lower right pane of RStudio.

I am so grateful! I tried uploading it in the cloud first and then i was able to import excel file to R studio. Thank you again for your help!
